Who are we?
Private Hearing is a trading name of PASECOM GROUP LTD (Company No. 17139327), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. Phone 01455 242326. Email hello@private-hearing.co.uk.
What do we provide?
Information about private hearing tests, hearing aids and NHS routes in England, and an introduction service. When you send the form, we may pass your request to one independent audiology clinic that covers your area, so that it can contact you. We do not test hearing, fit aids, diagnose, or hold an appointment. A request is not a booking.
Is the information medical advice?
No. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and nothing on it tells you whether to get a hearing test or hearing aids. If you have sudden hearing loss in one ear, sudden dizziness with hearing loss, or bleeding from the ear, get same-day help from a GP, 111 or A&E.
How accurate are the prices?
Each price is the provider's own published figure on the date we show. Providers change prices without telling us. The price that counts is the one the provider quotes you in writing. Listing a provider does not mean it is our partner or that we recommend it.
Who is responsible for the clinic's service?
The clinic. Any appointment, test, hearing aid, price, refund or aftercare is a matter between you and the clinic, under its own terms. We are not a party to that agreement. We may be paid a fee by the clinic for the introduction; you never pay us.
What is our liability?
We take care to publish accurate, dated information, but we do not accept liability for losses caused by relying on it instead of the provider's own quote or a clinician's advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
How do I complain?
Email hello@private-hearing.co.uk. We will reply within ten working days. Complaints about a clinic's service go to the clinic.
What can this site do, and what can it not do?
This is not medical advice. We are not a clinic, not the NHS, not an audiologist and not a hearing-aid shop. We do not test hearing, fit aids, diagnose, read an audiogram or hold an appointment. We cannot tell you whether a hearing aid would help you.
Do not use this form if you have sudden hearing loss in one ear, sudden dizziness with hearing loss, or bleeding from the ear. NICE guideline NG98 (last updated 2 October 2023) says hearing loss that came on over three days or less, within the last 30 days, should be seen by a specialist within 24 hours. Ask for a same-day GP appointment, call 111, or go to A&E.
What we can do: show the prices we opened and dated, explain the NHS and private routes, and, if you ask, pass your request to one independent audiology clinic that covers your area. That is free for you. The clinic may pay us.
Is a request through this website a booking?
No. It is a request for one clinic to contact you. Nothing is booked until you agree a time and a price with the clinic.
Who do I complain to about a hearing aid?
The clinic that sold or fitted it. We do not sell or fit hearing aids.
Looking for a hearing test or aids? Request a private hearing appointment. Free for you; the clinic may pay us.
